Best friends Hulda and Brimir live a simple but ideal life on a planet much like Earth—populated only by children. When they meet an adult, the mysterious Jolly-Goodday, they are promised a life of greater joy and even more spectacular fun… but at what cost? The exuberance of Peter Pan mixed with an eco-conscious message, Blue Planet is a family-friendly and lively integrated theatrical experience using movement, puppetry, aerial dance and object work with traditional elements of storytelling.

"A funny and imaginative cautionary tale about our own embattled blue planet... Overflows with gentle irony and well-placed whimsy! ... Clever visual treats!" —Kerry Reid, Chicago Tribune

"Blue Planet is out of this world! A stunning visual feast... whimsical and fanciful and amazing to watch ... Its message needs to be taken to the halls of Congress! Highly recommended." —Chicago Stage Standard

"Akvavit Theatre’s idiosyncratic, eco-conscious production features puppets, aerial arts, and gobs of wisdom!" —Chicago Reader
